El Cantón Pedernales, Provincia de Manabí tuvo consecuencias nefastas por el terremoto ocurrido en abril del 2016, sus construcciones civiles tuvieron secuelas severas que no soportaron este desastre natural de magnitud 7,8 en la escala de Richter, arriesgando la vida de las personas y afectando a la economía de la comunidad. La presente investigación analiza la incidencia de los materiales provenientes del Cantón Pedernales: agua, ripio, arena en diferentes tiempos de curado manteniendo como factor constante el cemento en las mezclas, mediante un análisis factorial 2⁴ de efectos fijos que permite probar que factores e interacciones influyen en la calidad del hormigón, medida a través de la resistencia de la compresión axial simple en Mpa, obteniendo así 16 tratamientos con 2 réplicas, para tener 32 cilindros de hormigón.
