Nello specifico, si tratta di un’analisi quantitativa del contenuto dei commenti degli utenti sui video di due 'media tradizionali' (ZDF heute Nachrichten, BILD) e di un 'mezzo alternativo' (Compact TV). Le domande centrali della ricerca sono:D1: Quali sono le caratteristiche della deliberazione che ricorrono più frequentemente nei commenti degli utenti sui video dei due 'media mainstream' e del 'medium alternativo' rispettivamente?D2: Quali caratteristiche dell’hate speech sono più frequenti nei commenti degli utenti ai video dei due 'media mainstream' e del 'medium alternativo'? Sono stati analizzati 540 commenti degli utenti su 18 video di YouTube. I risultati mostrano che le caratteristiche della deliberazione sono più frequenti nei commenti degli utenti ai video dei 'media tradizionali', mentre le caratteristiche del discorso d’odio sono più comuni nei commenti degli utenti ai video dei 'media alternativi'.
