De plus en plus importants dans le domaine de l’ingénierie, les bâtiments durables sont déjà présents dans les principaux centres urbains du pays. C’est pourquoi diverses certifications et labels écologiques caractérisent et certifient ces bâtiments, leur conférant un degré encore plus élevé de compétitivité, d’ingénierie et même de marketing. L’objectif principal de ce travail était de créer des critères durables pour évaluer n’importe quel type de bâtiment, sur la base des lignes directrices indiquées par les organismes environnementaux et réglementaires. Pour atteindre cet objectif, trois certifications écologiques existantes au Brésil ont été utilisées comme base technique : LEED, AQUA et le sceau de la maison bleue de la Caixa Econômica Federal, ainsi que les normes et la législation en vigueur en la matière. Sur la base de ces informations, une liste de différentes catégories a été créée pour évaluer les critères de durabilité.
