Achilles Street is where my parents, Gordon & Clara Campbell, gave birth to me on May 7, 1968. A baby girl! Name: Lisa Renee Campbell. I must say my father was a handsome black man. My mother was a fox, as they say. 'That' she was. Now I know where I got my great looks from. My parents met in a little old country town called Memphis, Tennessee, but my dad lived in Ripley, Tennessee. My dad used to go back and forth to work from Memphis to Ripley every day there, so he would see her at work. Clara, my mother, was a mother of three, and my dad had no kids back then. So, let’s get to the story, shall we? One day, on her day off from work, my mother decided she needed to go to the grocery store, and my dad was at work. He saw how these three kids were driving her crazy. Those three little boys were named Jack Rucker the Third, John Shaw, and Joseph Shaw. Gordon, my dad, walked up to her and asked her name. From that little bit of conversation, they have been dating since, got married, and had ten more kids. I will explain everything to you a little bit more about that later on in the story. I might drift off in this story, but I wrote this book the way I wanted it. It has to be real and raw for me and for you to have the full effect of my story. So, you might read some 'graphic' things, BUT I have to give you all of me for you to understand where I came from and how I made it through this without going crazy or losing my mind. Thank you, God! For a God that is able.
