Honored grief is a combination of poetry and reflections with some journal prompts as well.Honored Grief is also a collective space for people to share pieces of their learnings and healings and journeys- in this way.How do you honor your grief?I have learned some of the ways I honor my grief is by allowing what is real to be. Reflecting on my feelings, thoughts, and experiences. I am a documenter in many ways (pictures, diary, timestamps...)Many times, I come up with questions based on what is going on, it is how I make sense and dive deeper. I turn them into journal prompts, I share my words with 'the world' and sometimes I hear reflections back from people. That is a ripple effect. That, to me- is healing in many forms. Honored Grief is about grief, healing, reflection, creative writing, and community. In this book you will find diary pages (Aka: Facebook posts), poetry, reflections, journal prompts and a few illustrations. You will also hear from some others besides me. Thank you for your writing shares: Kathy, Amy, Syhara, Anna, Rachel, Elizabeth, Darlene, Danny, Chantal, Alicia, Maria Paula Ahumada, Edgardo, Jasmin, Desirae, Bernadette, Gabriella, Katrina, Krista, Heidi, Alex, Julie, Ileana, Angel, Athena, Iris, Leo. Thank you for your illustrations, Team Velasquez: Angel, Iris, Leo, and Edgardo. Thank you for the cover illustrations, Margarita.
