His formative years were spent in Montgomery County, Maryland. A graduate from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, he received an Associate of Arts degree from Montgomery Junior College in the spring of 1966. In 1966, Mr. Stone entered the United States Air Force where he served as Security Policeman, obtaining the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge in the summer of 1970. Mr. Stone is a collector of music, enjoys cooking and writing poetry. Currently, Mr. Stone resides in Montgomery County, where he grew up.
