Badanie zatytułowane: Hodowla zwierząt w gospodarstwach rodzinnych i zarządzanie zasobami wodnymi w dorzeczu rzeki Camaquã: Studium przypadku na terenie Alto Camaquã zostało przeprowadzone ze względu na niewielką widoczność terenu Alto Camaquã w zarządzaniu zasobami wodnymi. Charakterystyczną cechą tego regionu jest rodzinne hodowle bydła i ich zależność od zasobów naturalnych, w tym źródeł wody do pojenia zwierząt i zaopatrzenia gospodarstw domowych. Jednak terytorium to wymaga strategii zarządzania zasobami wodnymi, głównie ze względu na złożoność geologiczną, która przyczynia się do występowania deficytu wodnego, nieregularnych opadów deszczu i braków w systemie poboru wody.
