Immer weniger wird ihnen zugetraut, die politischen Probleme zu lösen. Die traditionellen Milieus schwinden; die Zahl der Mitglieder sinkt. Der vorliegende Beitrag reflektiert diese Situation aus christlich-sozialethischer Perspektive und plädiert für eine Erneuerung der bisherigen Mitgliederpartei. Diese bleibt unverzichtbar für die Demokratie; ihre Zukunftsfähigkeit ist daher nicht nur für die Parteien selbst von Belang. Attraktiv werden die Parteien aber nur dann sein (und wieder werden), wenn sie politisch Interessierten effektive Beteiligungsmöglichkeiten anbieten.
