O principal objetivo deste artigo é analisar as relações de governação entre os actores dos Estabelecimentos Privados de Ensino Superior (EPES) do Senegal, com vista a propor ideias para as melhorar. Para o efeito, realizámos um estudo de casos múltiplos. Elaborámos quatro guiões de entrevista individuais, um para cada categoria de interveniente: direção, professores, PATS e alunos de cada EPES. A nossa amostra foi constituída por 10 EPES. Em detalhe, foram entrevistados 41 indivíduos: 12 PERs, 16 alunos, 6 membros da direção e 7 PATS. As entrevistas duraram entre 40 minutos e 1h 15 minutos. Os resultados obtidos mostram que a governação das EPES senegalesas se encontra na encruzilhada de enormes problemas ligados às práticas de recrutamento, às relações hierárquicas entre os diferentes actores, à gestão quotidiana e ao exercício do poder.
