We’re all in this together... just passing through.About the AuthorTom Evans was raised on Long Island and graduated from Shoreham-Wading River high school in 1980. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1981 and is a Desert Storm veteran. In 1993, he joined the Suffolk County sheriff’s office and attained the rank of sergeant before retiring in 2016. Since writing this book, he has learned to sing and play guitar (sometimes quite badly) and co-hosts a radio show on Long Island News Radio 103.9 called The Captain’s Brief. He has a daughter and a son and three granddaughters, so far! Tom is an animal lover, a big Mets fan, and is pretty good at playing ping pong.
