This volume is in no way intended to be an exhaustive study of God in many faceted nature of His being or a full commentary on Who He is in the Psalms. Its purpose is to give glimpses of Him in the Bible and serve as a devotional guide in our quest for a greater knowledge of and closer relationship with Him.Our God is too big and wonderful for us to full comprehend His nature and what power He holds in His almighty hands. Even though we cannot see Him with the natural eye, we can experience Him through Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and in the fullness of His Word. We can see the face of God by faith as He appears in the Bible to provide for every need, to give care and protection in every time of trouble, and to furnish help for every trial.May each reader see God in the completeness of His declarations to us and grow daily in His grace.

The Gospel of John was long assumed to be the work of an eyewitness, usually identified as John, son of Zebedee. More recently, many have judged it the unhistorical product of a ''Johannine community.'' Reconsideration by Richard Bauckham has suggested that the author was a Jerusalem disciple who housed the ''Last Supper.'' This book explores the possibility that he was present...

  • Through the years with prince charming
    Paul du Quenoy
The past decade has overflowed in a raging stream of contradictions. Old certainties have yielded to relentless insecurity over a time when much of the human experience got immeasurably better even as many things only ever seemed to get worse. As Paul du Quenoy’s globetrotting criticism reveals, the arts were in a ferment that matched profound and yet totally unpredicted social...
  • Tommaso Traetta and the Fusion of Italian and French Opera in Parma

In 1759, the court of the Italian Duchy of Parma adopted the inspiration of cultural creators who recommended a reform of Italian opera along French lines. These writers favored combining Italian-style music with the wider range of musical genres and scenic variety of French opera. As the music critic and commentator George W. Loomis shows in this groundbreaking volume, the you...

Jeraldine T. Posey / Jeraldine TPosey
Children seem to be in awe that old people could have ever been young like them. This book tells about the life of a person who lived in another time, in another place, with and without things kids are so familiar with today. Paw was born in 1927, was raised on a farm, was attune to a hard work ethic, but lived to tell the story. ...
