Forus Feasa Air Eirinn: Keating’s History of Ireland, Book 1, Part 1 (1880) is a historical text written by Geoffrey Keating. The book is written in the Irish language and was first published in 1634, but this edition was translated into English in 1880. The text covers the early history of Ireland, from the arrival of the Celts to the Norman invasion in the 12th century. The book is divided into four parts, with this being the first part of the first book. The text provides a detailed account of the political and social organization of early Irish society, as well as the customs, beliefs, and mythology of the ancient Irish people. It also includes information on the various tribes and kingdoms that existed in Ireland during this period. The book is considered an important source for the study of Irish history and culture, and is frequently cited by scholars and historians. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world’s literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
