Le présent travail décrit des cours de formation auditive dispensés à des élèves de flûte traversière âgées de 8 à 11 ans. Dans le cadre d’une expérience, seize débutantes en flûte traversière ont suivi pendant quatre mois des cours individuels ciblés de formation auditive. L’accent est mis sur les quatre aspects suivants : 1) l’écoute des intervalles, 2) la mémorisation musicale, 3) la reconnaissance de la musique de programme et 4) l’écoute de sons / la reproduction de sons. Les résultats des tests effectués sur le groupe expérimental par rapport à un groupe témoin montrent clairement qu’il est tout à fait judicieux d’intégrer de manière renforcée et systématique la formation auditive dans les cours d’instrument pour débutants. Effet secondaire bienvenu : de nombreuses élèves qui sont initiées à l’écoute consciente développent non seulement un grand plaisir à jouer librement, mais aussi, avec un encadrement approprié, à improviser de manière organisée.
