Le Brésil est le troisième producteur mondial de fruits, mais sa part d’exportation reste faible, en partie à cause des exigences phytosanitaires imposées par les pays importateurs, et en partie à cause de la présence de mouches des fruits, dont les espèces les plus importantes appartiennent aux genres Ceratitis et Anastrepha, C. Capitata étant la seule espèce de ce genre présente au Brésil, principalement sur des arbres fruitiers introduits. L’objectif de ce travail était d’étudier les fluctuations de population tout au long de l’année dans les vergers domestiques et d’évaluer l’utilisation d’attractifs alimentaires pour attraper les mouches des fruits dans la municipalité de Matinhas - PB.
