Książka zatytułowana „FLORA WZGÓRZA GUNADALA' - OKRĘG KRISHNA, STAN ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIE zawiera istotne wyniki badań florystycznych przeprowadzonych na wzgórzu Gunadala. Wśród wzgórz wzgórze Gunadala stanowi część pasma Eastern Ghat. Mimo że opis flory dystryktu został ukończony w 1987 r., pominięto roślinność występującą na wzgórzu. Nie ma dostępnych wiarygodnych dowodów potwierdzających szczegółowe badania roślinności wzgórza. Zwiększona presja biotyczna, utrata regeneracji, inwazja gatunków brzegowych oraz zmiany w strukturze zbiorowisk to tylko niektóre z przejawów wpływających na różnorodność biologiczną. W związku z licznymi zmianami nomenklaturowymi wprowadzonymi przez ICBN na przestrzeni czasu, identyfikacją nowych gatunków z różnych lokalizacji geograficznych oraz ingerencjami biotycznymi spowodowanymi działalnością antropogeniczną, istnieje potrzeba rewizji i aktualizacji wykazu roślin kwiatowych występujących na wzgórzu. W związku z tym podjęto próbę przeprowadzenia systematycznego badania flory występującej na wzgórzu. Łącznie przeprowadzono 30 badań terenowych obejmujących wszystkie pory roku w okresie 18 miesięcy. Gatunki zostały uporządkowane systematycznie. Spośród 197 zbiorów 28 gatunków to nowe odnotowania, które nie zostały ujęte w „Flora of Krishna District'.
