Le Sénégal, grand producteur d’arachide, fait face à une dépendance accrue aux importations d’huiles végétales. Dans un contexte de sécurité alimentaire, le tournesol émerge comme une culture stratégique pour diversifier les sources d’huile locales. Ce livre explore en profondeur l’effet de la fertilisation organo-minérale sur la culture du tournesol (Helianthus annuus L.) dans le centre-sud du Bassin arachidier, une zone particulièrement touchée par la dégradation des terres et la baisse de la pluviométrie.À travers une étude menée à la station expérimentale de l’institut sénégalais de recherches agricoles (ISRA) située à Nioro du Rip, l’auteur analyse les différents plans de fertilisation et leurs impacts sur la croissance, le rendement et les composantes de cette plante oléagineuse. Ce travail offre des solutions viables pour améliorer la productivité agricole tout en garantissant une gestion durable des sols. Il se veut une contribution essentielle aux efforts visant l’autosuffisance alimentaire du Sénégal, tout en répondant aux défis du changement climatique.
