Une limitation dans le cas du maïs est que les lectures du chlorophyllomètre effectuées aux stades initiaux (V4 à V6) peuvent ne pas être cohérentes pour le diagnostic nutritionnel de l’azote. Cela limite la possibilité d’intervenir dans la gestion de l’application d’azote en couverture dès le début du cycle, période idéale pour une réponse maximale de la culture. Le présent travail avait pour objectif d’évaluer la relation entre la lecture du chlorophyllomètre et les teneurs en chlorophylle extractible, en azote et en biomasse dans la culture du maïs.
