Dans cet article de recherche, quatre enseignants du primaire partagent leur compréhension de la manière dont ils favorisent la conscience mondiale à travers leur enseignement dans des écoles qui participent au modèle des écoles respectueuses des droits lancé par UNICEF Canada. La principale question de recherche étudiée était la suivante : que signifie favoriser la conscience mondiale en théorie et dans la pratique pédagogique pour un échantillon d’enseignants du primaire travaillant dans une école respectueuse des droits? Les enseignants ont été interrogés à l’aide d’un protocole d’entretien semi-structuré. Les résultats de la recherche concordent avec les recherches existantes menées dans le domaine de l’éducation mondiale, dans la mesure où les enseignants rapportent leur compréhension et leurs pratiques à travers quatre axes principaux: les relations, l’engagement, la voix et la dynamique du pouvoir.
