La farmacocinetica della moxifloxacina @ 5mg.kg-1.b.wt è stata studiata in capre sane e intossicate da bifentrin (n=4), dopo la sua somministrazione endovenosa. La MIC della moxifloxacina nel plasma è stata mantenuta fino a 8 ore nelle capre sane, mentre è stata mantenuta solo fino a 6 ore nelle capre intossicate da bifentrin. L’AUC è diminuita significativamente da 7,86±0,06g,ml-1h a 6,90±0,076g,ml-1h nelle capre intossicate da bifentrin. L’emivita di distribuzione (t½) e il volume di distribuzione allo stato stazionario Vd(ss) ¬osservati erano rispettivamente 0,08±0,0008 h e 2,43±0,01L.kg-1 nelle capre sane e 0,081±0,0006h e 2,32±0,03L.kg-1 nelle capre intossicate da bifentrin. La clearance corporea totale è aumentata da 636,06±4,68 ml.kg-1h-1 nelle capre sane a 725,4±7,92 ml.kg-1h-1 nelle capre intossicate. Tuttavia, nelle capre intossicate è stata osservata una diminuzione dell’emivita di eliminazione (t1/2) da 2,81±0,04h a 2,61±0,01h. Il regime di dosaggio della moxifloxacina calcolato negli animali sani è di 4,99 mg.kg-1 seguiti da 4,73 mg.kg-1 a intervalli di 12 ore, efficace contro gli isolati batterici con MIC ≤ 0,1µg.ml-1 . Tuttavia, nelle capre intossicate, è di 6,66 mg.kg-1 seguita da 6,33 mg.kg-1 a 12 ore di intervallo.
