Oggi è necessario incoraggiare l’uso di biopesticidi ecologici. D’altra parte, i residui di pesticidi nei frutti sono un problema per la loro commercializzazione. In questo lavoro analizziamo gli estratti di Euphorbia helioscopia contro la crescita del Penicillium digitatum. Questo fungo è responsabile del marciume verde e produce grandi perdite negli agrumi, essendo questa coltura così importante per la regione mediterranea. Il nostro lavoro confronta l’effetto degli estratti di foglie-frutto e di radice di Euphorbia helioscopia sulla crescita di Penicillium digitatum in prove in vitro e su frutti di limone. I risultati dimostrano l’inibizione del fungo in presenza degli estratti vegetali, il che solleva la possibilità di utilizzarli come nuovi fungicidi biorazionali.
