Aço moldado a frio - Tópico (Estudo sobre a capacidade de flexão de secções em I construídas com alma trapezoidal) O efeito da largura da flange na capacidade de flexão de vigas em I moldadas a frio com ondulação (trapezoidal) na alma é investigado sob carga estática em dois pontos com condições de extremidades simplesmente apoiadas. Foram fabricadas quatro amostras com ondulação da alma de 40 mm e mm em todo o comprimento da amostra. O comprimento da amostra é mantido constante em 1050 mm e a largura da flange varia entre 70 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm e 120 mm. Todas as amostras são carregadas para uma zona de flexão pura constante de 335 mm. A deflexão em vários pontos é medida usando LVDT’s. Um medidor de deformação é usado na flange de compressão do meio do vão para medir a deformação no ponto. São traçadas as curvas de carga versus deflexão e as curvas de carga versus deformação. São discutidos os comportamentos e os modos de falha. A amostra de teste foi modelada utilizando um pacote de software de elementos finitos (ANSYS) para realizar a análise não linear.
