A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar como as Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação (TDIC) puderam ser utilizadas para promover o engajamento dos estudantes do Ensino Fundamental II, pertencentes à geração screenager, em atividades educacionais. Partiu- se da seguinte problemática: como as TDIC podem contribuir para o envolvimento desses estudantes no processo de ensino e aprendizagem? A investigação foi conduzida por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa, de natureza bibliográfica, com base na análise de produções acadêmicas publicadas em periódicos de acesso aberto e repositórios institucionais. Os resultados revelam que o uso pedagógico das TDIC, quando planejado com intencionalidade e alinhado às características cognitivas e comportamentais dos screenagers, favorece o aumento da motivação, da participação e da autonomia discente.
