Este trabajo propone el uso de un Libro Electrónico Multimedia como una herramienta para ayudar a corregir las fallas del proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje de la geometría descriptiva, para lo cual se han propuesto tres tipos de objetos de aprendizaje (modelos basados en objetos de la realidad, animaciones para la explicación de los conceptos teóricos y simulaciones para el desarrollo de ejercicios) los cuales, en su conjunto, conformaran la estrategia de formación con miras a lograr el objetivo propuesto. Para esto se ha realizado una labor profunda principalmente en el campo de las simulaciones para el desarrollo de los ejercicios al diseñar una herramienta que facilita la apropiación de los procedimientos adecuados eliminando la acción repetitiva del docente, así como la falta de didáctica en los textos analógicos tradicionales.
