Die Verwendung von Kunststoffabfällen in Betonarbeiten ist eine Teillösung für die meisten Umweltprobleme. In dieser Studie wurden Kunststoffabfälle bei der Herstellung von Betonpflastersteinen verwendet. Um die Eignung dieser Abfälle für die technischen Eigenschaften von Pflastersteinen zu ermitteln, wurden die Druckfestigkeit, die Wasseraufnahme und die Auswirkungen von Säure auf die Pflastersteine bestimmt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Pflastersteine eine gute Festigkeit, eine geringere Wasseraufnahme und eine geringere Säureeinwirkung aufweisen, die den Werten der American Standard Testing Materials entspricht.
