Brazylijski agrobiznes zasadniczo przyczynia się do rozwoju gospodarczego kraju. W ramach tego kompleksu znajdują się łańcuchy wołowiny, wieprzowiny i kurczaków, które w znacznym stopniu przyczyniają się do eksportu mięsa i konsumpcji krajowej, napędzając lokalną gospodarkę. Elastyczność transmisji cen w ramach trzech głównych łańcuchów - wołowiny, wieprzowiny i kurczaka - została przeanalizowana pod kątem powiązań między producentami, hurtownikami i detalistami, w oparciu o szeregi czasowe dla stanu São Paulo w latach 1997-2013. Zaproponowano model wektora autoregresyjnego (ARV) lub wektora korekty błędem (ECV) z wektorem kointegracji. Model ten został wykorzystany, ponieważ umożliwia weryfikację wpływów między ogniwami łańcucha i odpowiedzi impulsowej na wstrząsy między ogniwami. Dekompozycja wariancji wykazała, że ceny kształtują się na poziomie hurtowym, zgodnie z przewidywaniami teorii. Podsumowując, można zauważyć, że łańcuch wieprzowiny zachowuje się inaczej pod względem transmisji cen, co prowadzi do wniosku, że konsumpcja tego produktu w Brazylii jest nowa i stopniowo zwiększa konsumpcję białego mięsa oraz zwiększa produkcję i eksport.
