Die Kolloidwissenschaft wirft auch heute noch Fragen auf, die in der Literatur nur unzureichend erforscht sind und die die Forscher auf diesem Gebiet zunehmend vor die Herausforderung stellen, Erklärungen zu finden. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, den Einfluss von alkalischen Lithium-, Natrium- und Kaliumkarbonaten auf die Rheologie von Bentonit-Tonen aus dem brasilianischen Bundesstaat Paraíba im Hinblick auf ihre Verwendung in Bohrspülungen auf Wasser- und organischer Basis zu überprüfen. Darüber hinaus wurden neue Vorkommen brasilianischer Bentonit-Tone untersucht, um die Einfuhr dieses mineralischen Rohstoffs zu vermeiden und dem Land eine technologische Entwicklung zu ermöglichen.
