Die Gebäudedatenmodellierung (Building Information Modeling, BIM) hat in letzter Zeit in der Architektur-, Ingenieur- und Baubranche (AEC) große Aufmerksamkeit erlangt. BIM wurde von mehreren Fachleuten und Forschern als Allheilmittel zur Beseitigung der Ineffizienzen in der AEC-Branche vorgeschlagen. In zahlreichen Fällen aus verschiedenen Ländern wurde über potenzielle Vorteile und Wettbewerbsvorteile berichtet. Trotz der Vorteile und des Potenzials der BIM-Technologien wird sie jedoch in der AEC-Branche im Gazastreifen in Palästina, wie in vielen anderen Regionen der Welt, nicht eingesetzt. Ziel dieser Studie war es daher, ein klares Verständnis für BIM zu entwickeln, um die verschiedenen Faktoren zu identifizieren, die nützliche Informationen für die Einführung der BIM-Technologie durch die Praktiker in der AEC-Branche im Gazastreifen liefern. Dieser Zweck wurde durch das Erreichen von fünf primären Zielen erreicht, um eine erfolgreiche BIM-basierte Workflow-Implementierung zu ermöglichen.
