Cette étude a été menée afin d’évaluer l’effet de différentes doses de rayonnement gamma sur la décontamination des micro-organismes présents dans la poudre de gomme de guar. Elle visait également à étudier l’effet du rayonnement sur les propriétés chimiques et physiques des composants glucidiques de la gomme. Deux types d’échantillons ont été utilisés dans cette étude (poudre et liquide). Tous les échantillons ont été prélevés sur de la gomme de guar (GG) disponible dans le commerce, fournie par la société Sudanese guar gum.ltd. Les échantillons ont été placés dans un récipient en polyéthylène hermétiquement fermé, puis irradiés à différentes doses (2,5, 5, 7,5, 10, 20,30, 40 et 50 KGy) à partir d’une source de Co-60 à température ambiante dans l’air.
