A utilização de pó para melhorar as propriedades do betão é uma das formas de conseguir a durabilidade do betão em muitas circunstâncias. Utilizar pó de sílica na mistura de betão e os dois tipos de amorfo e cristalino, para conhecer o melhor tipo de interação com o cimento, e assim as melhores propriedades do betão. Neste estudo, escolhemos também o tamanho em escala nanométrica para garantir a melhor distribuição e espalhamento do granulado na mistura de betão. Através da preparação de várias amostras e do trabalho de ensaios laboratoriais, mostra-se que ambos os tipos de sílica em pó aumentam a eficiência do betão, sendo a sílica amorfa a melhor da sílica cristalina. Os resultados experimentais e as análises existentes neste livro são termos de referência valiosos para a investigação na indústria do betão e dos materiais de construção.
