Foi realizada uma experiência de campo para estudar o Efeito do espaçamento entre plantas e GA3 no crescimento, floração e rendimento das cultivares de calêndula africana (Tagetes erecta L.). A experiência consistiu em vinte e quatro tratamentos de todas as combinações possíveis de três variedades, a saber, Local Orange (V1), Pusa Narangi (V2), Pusa Basanti (V3) e dois níveis de espaçamento, a saber, 60 x 60 cm (S1) e 45 x 60 cm (S2), juntamente com quatro níveis de GA3, a saber, controlo (G0), 100 ppm (G1), 200 ppm (G2) e 300 ppm (G3). Com base nos resultados de um ano de experimentação, parece bastante lógico concluir que a Pusa Narangi deve ser transplantada com espaçamento de 45 x 60 cm, juntamente com 100 ppm de GA3 pulverizado na cultura para o cultivo rentável da calêndula africana (Tagetes erecta L.).
