A tese debruçou-se sobre o efeito da comunicação não verbal no ensino do inglês em escolas secundárias ruandesas selecionadas. Neste estudo, examinámos o impacto da comunicação não-verbal no ensino do inglês nas escolas selecionadas do sector de Kanjongo, distrito de Nyamasheke, Ruanda. A investigação visava identificar os sinais de linguagem não-verbal utilizados pelos professores de inglês nas escolas selecionadas e avaliar o impacto da comunicação não-verbal no ensino do inglês nas escolas secundárias selecionadas do sector de Kanjongo, distrito de Nyamasheke. O estudo explica em profundidade o problema identificado para a sua realização e apresenta as razões pelas quais teve de ser efectuado. O investigador explicou algumas teorias relacionadas com a comunicação não-verbal, como a cinésica, a háptica e a paralinguagem. Também nos referimos ao que outros investigadores escreveram sobre a comunicação não-verbal. A população era constituída por professores e alunos de inglês de escolas selecionadas no sector de Kanjongo, distrito de Nyamasheke, Ruanda.
