Niniejsza książka obejmuje pięć rozdziałów, z których pierwszy dotyczy analizy informacji zebranych podczas badania na podstawie istniejącej dokumentacji, raportów i rozmów z różnymi hodowcami krewetek, co prowadzi do wniosku, że badany obszar ma wszystkie niezbędne zasoby niezbędne do produkcji dużych ilości krewetek. W kolejnym rozdziale zbadano wpływ dwóch dostępnych na rynku pasz dla krewetek na ich wzrost i przeżywalność. Rozdział trzeci przedstawia analizę porównawczą hodowli krewetek o niskim (6 krewetek m-2) i wysokim zagęszczeniu (12 krewetek m-2). Wyniki wykazały, że hodowle krewetek w warunkach niskiego zagęszczenia wykazywały wyższe wskaźniki przeżywalności i wzrostu. Rozdział 4 opisuje wpływ trzech komercyjnych probiotyków na parametry fizykochemiczne, wzrost i przeżywalność krewetek. Wyniki wykazały, że wzrost i przeżywalność krewetek traktowanych probiotykami były wyższe. W rozdziale 5 zbadano ograniczenia i rozwiązania dla hodowli krewetek na wybrzeżu Kollam.
