Der Einsatz von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie (IKT) im Englischunterricht auf Universitätsebene, insbesondere in Mali, bietet sowohl Chancen als auch Herausforderungen, die einen differenzierten Ansatz erfordern. Diese experimentelle Forschung untersucht die Effektivität und den Einfluss des Einsatzes von Technologie als Werkzeug für das Lehren und Lernen innerhalb der Fakultät für Literatur, Sprachen und Sprachwissenschaften (FLSL), Abteilung Englisch. Auf der Grundlage von theoretischen Rahmenwerken wie dem TPACK-Rahmen und der sozial-konstruktivistischen Lerntheorie untersucht die Studie das transformative Potenzial der IKT in der Bildung und geht dabei auf ihre Vor- und Nachteile ein. Methodisch verfolgt die Studie einen qualitativen Ansatz, bei dem Stichprobenverfahren und Datenerfassungsinstrumente eingesetzt werden, um Erkenntnisse von Schülern und Lehrern zu gewinnen. Statistische Analysen decken Unterschiede in den Schülerleistungen zwischen Versuchs- und Kontrollgruppen auf, was auf das Potenzial für verbesserte Sprachkenntnisse durch IKT-Integration hindeutet. Interviews mit Schülern und Lehrern zeigen eine positive Einstellung zur IKT-Integration, wobei die Teilnehmer Plattformen wie WhatsApp, YouTube und Google Classroom nutzen.
