Forschungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Sonstiges, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Chinesische Studierende bildeten mit 24.746 Studierenden die größte Ausländergruppe in Deutschland. Das macht 10,3% aller ausländischen Studierenden aus. An Berliner Hochschulen waren 1.450 chinesische Studierende 2009 immatrikuliert. Das sind 6,7% aller ausländischen Studierenden in Berlin. Wie sieht das Profil der drittgrößten Ausländergruppe an Berliner Hochschulen aus? Wie sind die Lebensbedingungen für die Studierenden aus dem größten Schwellenland? Was stellt die größten Schwierigkeiten für chinesische Studierende in Berlin dar? Um die sozial- und wirtschaftliche Lage der chinesischen Studierenden in Berlin kennenzulernen und dem Studentenwerk wichtige Hinweise zur Qualitätsentwicklung der Service- und Beratungsangebote rund um das Studium zu liefern, wurde eine Online-Umfrage vom 29. November bis 5. Dezember 2010 im Auftrag des Studentenwerks Berlin durchgeführt. Die chinesische Zielgruppe wurde per E-Mail sowie mit Flyern auf diese Umfrage aufmerksam gemacht. Der Fragebogen wurde auf Deutsch und Chinesisch formuliert, damit keine chinesischen Studierenden wegen ihrer schlechten deutschen Sprachkenntnisse ausgeschlossen werden. Die Ergebnisse basieren auf 154 verwertbaren Rückläufern, die sich an Berliner Hochschulen eingeschriebene chinesische Studierende ausgefüllt haben. Das sind 10,6% der chinesischen Studierenden in Berlin. Im vorliegenden Bericht werden die Ergebnisse dieser Auswertung dargestellt. Alle Daten von deutschen Studierenden in Berlin, die zum Vergleich angeführt worden sind, kommen aus dem Bericht Die wirtschaftliche und soziale Lage der Studierenden in Berlin 2009 (Studentenwerk Berlin, 2010 ), und die Daten von deutschen Studierenden bundesweit sind vom Die wirtschaftliche und soziale Lage der Studierenden in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland 2009 (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, 2010) zitiert worden.
