Sie dient u. a. als Lebensraum, Lernort, Entwicklungs- und Erziehungsraum. In unserer Arbeit gehen wir zuerst auf die Geschichte der Geistigbehindertenpädagogik ein. Im Anschluss daran wird die Schule zur individuellen Lebensbewältigung dargestellt - Lebensraum Schule, Aufbau und Organisation, Lage und Ausstattung. Zuletzt gibt die Arbeit noch einen Einblick in die Didaktik.
