Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Geschichte Deutschlands - Nachkriegszeit, Kalter Krieg, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Dresden (Institut für Geschichte), Veranstaltung: Die Geschichte der BRD, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Kaum ein anderes Ereignis der internationalen Politik hatte gleichzeitig vor, während und nach Inkrafttreten ein so hohes Konfliktpotential auf internationaler wie gesellschaftlicher Ebene, wie der NATO-Doppelbeschluss. Manch einer schreibt ihm den Anstoß für das Ende des Ost-West-Konfliktes zu, wieder andere wähnten sich durch ihn näher am Nuklearkrieg, als während der Kubakrise und postulieren mit ihm das provozierende Moment der Friedensbewegung und die politische Legitimation der Grünen. Die vorliegende Arbeit wird sich jedoch lediglich indirekt mit diesen Folgen befassen. Vielmehr soll gezeigt werden, wie der NATO-Doppelbeschluss zu Stande kam und dass seine Folgen nicht ausschließlich auf den konkreten Beschluss zurückzuführen sind, sondern auch aus dem Entstehungsprozess resultierten. Zentral wird dabei Augenmerk auf den Willensbildungsprozess in Europa und den USA gelegt und auf den Einfluss des militärisch-industriellen Komplexes.
