Este livro examinou os factores determinantes da desigualdade de rendimentos entre os transformadores de mandioca no Estado de Ondo, na Nigéria. Foi utilizada uma técnica de amostragem em várias fases para selecionar oitenta transformadores de mandioca através de um questionário estruturado. Para a análise dos dados recolhidos, foram utilizadas estatísticas descritivas, o coeficiente de Gini e um modelo de regressão com quatro formas funcionais (linear, semilogaritmo, duplo logaritmo e exponencial). O coeficiente de Gini de 0,65 para os transformadores de mandioca indica um nível relativamente elevado de desigualdade de rendimentos entre os transformadores de mandioca. Os resultados da análise de regressão mostraram que os coeficientes de idade, nível de educação, anos de experiência, estado civil, acesso ao agente de extensão e filiação em associações cooperativas eram os determinantes significativos da desigualdade de rendimentos entre os transformadores de mandioca na área de estudo.
