Demophontes: Treurspel (1761) is een toneelstuk geschreven door de Italiaanse dichter en librettist Pietro Metastasio. Het stuk is gebaseerd op de mythe van Demophontes, de koning van Athene die verliefd wordt op de dochter van zijn gevangen genomen vijand, Trojaanse prinses Creusa. Het verhaal draait om de tragische liefde tussen Demophontes en Creusa, en de politieke en persoonlijke gevolgen van hun relatie. Het stuk is geschreven in klassieke stijl en bevat elementen van Griekse tragedie en Romeinse retoriek.
