In vielen Fällen sind Pflanzenpopulationen wichtige Ressourcenquellen für die Land- und Forstwirtschaft, für die Freizeitgestaltung und als Rückzugsgebiet für die Fauna, weshalb ihre Untersuchung ein wichtiger Aspekt ist. Bei den Merkmalen von Pflanzenpopulationen im Allgemeinen sind Dichte und Verteilung von Bedeutung. Dies ist die erste demografische Studie über diese Art. Für die vorliegende Studie wurden 25 zufällige Parzellen von je einem Hektar ausgewählt, so dass insgesamt 25 ha beprobt wurden. Es wurde festgestellt, dass Gaussia spirituana in gebündelten Populationen lebt. Dieses Ergebnis ist von entscheidender Bedeutung, da die Verteilung in Gruppen als eine sehr erfolgreiche Überlebensstrategie gilt.
