''De Apothecar en de Doctor'' is een zangspel geschreven door Isaac Jan Alexander Gogel en gepubliceerd in 1796. Het verhaal speelt zich af in een klein dorpje waar de apotheker en de dokter strijden om de gunst van de inwoners. De apotheker, die zijn eigen medicijnen maakt, is populair vanwege zijn goedkope prijzen, terwijl de dokter, die zijn medicijnen van elders haalt, bekend staat om zijn succesvolle behandelingen.
