O método e o processo de criação de resistência de duas espécies de flores foram apresentados no livro. A hibridização à distância foi utilizada para reprodução resistente ao acamamento de Platycodon Grandiflorus e a prole resistente ao acamamento foi obtida. Os resultados mostram que a prole resistente ao acamamento pode ser o fenômeno de apomixia induzido pelo pólen. O melhoramento genético de mutação de implantação de íons de Si foi usado para o melhoramento resistente ao frio de Oenothera speciosa e foram obtidos descendentes resistentes ao frio que podem passar o inverno em Pequim. Os resultados mostram que o caráter resistente ao frio pode ser herdado de forma constante.
