La crescente attenzione per la preparazione dei consulenti in materia di dipendenze e dei professionisti affini che utilizzano pratiche basate sull’evidenza ha portato nuova attenzione all’importanza di sviluppare e implementare i relativi programmi di formazione. Obiettivo: Questo studio si propone di esaminare l’impatto di un programma educativo personalizzato sui comportamenti di dipendenza sulle prestazioni cliniche degli infermieri per quanto riguarda gli atteggiamenti terapeutici, le conoscenze e la pratica quando lavorano con clienti che hanno problemi di abuso di sostanze. Metodi e soggetti: In questo studio è stato utilizzato un disegno quasi sperimentale pre-post per verificare l’efficacia del programma di formazione. Un campione di 40 infermieri è stato reclutato dall’ospedale di salute mentale El Abbasia. In questo studio sono stati utilizzati quattro strumenti per la raccolta dei dati: la scheda socio-demografica, il Substance Dependence Knowledge Questionnaire (SDKQ), il Substance Abuse Attitude Survey (SAAS) e la Motivational Interview Skills Checklist (MISC). I primi due strumenti sono stati sviluppati dai ricercatori, mentre gli altri due sono stati standardizzati.
