Lo studio è stato incentrato sulla conoscenza delle caratteristiche distintive del cotone transgenico da parte dei coltivatori di cotone Bt. Gli obiettivi specifici erano quelli di analizzare alcune caratteristiche personali, socioeconomiche, psicologiche e comunicative dei coltivatori di cotone Bt. Oltre a valutare la conoscenza dei coltivatori di cotone Bt riguardo alle caratteristiche distintive del cotone Bt, lo studio ha esaminato la relazione tra alcune caratteristiche selezionate dei coltivatori di cotone Bt e la loro conoscenza delle caratteristiche distintive del cotone Bt. Lo studio ha inoltre identificato i vincoli affrontati dai coltivatori di cotone Bt e ha raccolto suggerimenti da parte loro per superare tali vincoli. Si spera che questo studio sia di grande utilità per le diverse categorie di personale interessate allo sviluppo dell’agricoltura. Questo libro potrebbe rivelarsi utile per conoscere le caratteristiche socioeconomiche dei coltivatori di cotone Bt e per la crescita agricola del Gujarat e dell’India.
