El nivel de conocimiento legal se refiere al grado de comprensión y dominio que una persona, profesional o entidad posee sobre las normas, leyes, jurisprudencia y procedimientos jurídicos que rigen una sociedad. El objetivo general de esta investigación es analizar el 'NIVEL DEL CONOCIMIENTO LEGAL DEL ASOCIADO SOBRE LAS LEYES DE COOPERATIVAS EN PANAMÁ'. La metodología utilizada es de paradigma cuantitativo, de diseño de campo no experimental, de tipo aplicada, descriptiva transversal, bajo la modalidad de un proyecto factible. la muestra, está conformada por 152 asociados de 10 cooperativas ubicadas en cada una de las Provincias en Panamá. Los resultados permitieron determinar un nivel deficiente del conocimiento legal de los asociados sobre los estatutos que rigen el funcionamiento y organización de las cooperativas que ellos están adscritos. Estas deficiencias están asociadas al marco legal, la estructura de gobierno, el régimen especial, la constitución y la responsabilidad. Se concluye que, prevalece un nivel deficiente del conocimiento legal de los asociados referente a las leyes de cooperativas panameñas tales como el IPACOOP, la Ley N°17 de 1997 y la Ley 24 de 1980.
