Diese Studie war ein Versuch, einen innovativen Weg zur Bewertung von Englischlehrkräften zu finden, der als computergestützte Lehrkräftebewertung (Computer-Assisted Teacher Evaluation, CATE) bezeichnet wird. Die zahlreichen Probleme im Bereich der Bewertung von Englischlehrkräften motivierten die Forscher, diese Studie durchzuführen und deren Auswirkungen auf die berufliche Weiterentwicklung der Lehrkräfte zu untersuchen.
