Diese Forschungsarbeit präsentiert ein integriertes Computersystem für Bauprojekte, bei dem die Extraktions- und Importmengen durch die Interpretation von AutoCAD-Zeichnungen mit einer MS Access-Datenbank für Stückkosten und Produktivität für die Preisgestaltung und Dauer von Aufgaben ermittelt und dann zur Bearbeitung in MS Project und MS Excel exportiert werden. Das System wurde unter Verwendung von Visual Basic und ActiveX-Automatisierungstechnologie zur Kombination der oben genannten Software entwickelt. Das System kann auch Materialmengen berechnen. Das System umfasst einen Digitalisierer (On-Screen-Takeoff), der die Längen und Flächen der Zeichnungen berechnet, die in Form eines Bildes gescannt werden.
