Ces facteurs sont extrêmement importants pour la distribution géographique des macroalgues et peuvent également être responsables de plusieurs réponses physiologiques de ces organismes. Le présent ouvrage conclut que les effets de divers stress sur les algues ont entraîné une modification de l’expression génétique et de la production de métabolites secondaires qui ont différentes activités biologiques telles que les activités antioxydantes, anticancéreuses et antimicrobiennes.
