La struttura composita con colonne in cemento armato e travi in acciaio (RCS) sfrutta appieno i rispettivi vantaggi dell’acciaio e del cemento armato, rappresentando un sistema strutturale sostenibile. Le sue prestazioni complessive sono superiori a quelle delle tradizionali strutture a telaio in cemento armato e delle strutture a telaio in acciaio, il che le ha valso la definizione di forma strutturale 'a basso costo e ad alta efficienza'. L’applicazione di questo sistema all’edilizia prefabbricata per lo sviluppo di sistemi strutturali ibridi prefabbricati ha importanti implicazioni economiche e sociali per la trasformazione delle diffuse pratiche edilizie cinesi e per l’allineamento con la tendenza all’industrializzazione dell’edilizia. Per sfruttare appieno i vantaggi del sistema strutturale ibrido RCS, il presente studio, integrando il concetto di giunti estesi indeboliti e la ricerca sulle tecnologie di dissipazione dell’energia e di riduzione sismica, propone tre diversi tipi di giunti ibridi che utilizzano collegamenti bullonati a secco.
