A mia conoscenza, in letteratura sono disponibili tecnologie per la produzione di biogas o biometano da vari biosubstrati attraverso la digestione anaerobica o la loro codigestione. Tuttavia, sono disponibili pochissime pubblicazioni sulle condizioni ottimali per la digestione anaerobica e/o la loro codigestione. Pertanto, nel presente documento vengono citati sei studi che affrontano tale questione. Tra questi, sono state condotte un’indagine di base e cinque esperimenti di laboratorio (i) per esaminare le potenzialità, lo stato attuale, i problemi, gli ostacoli e le esigenze future per l’implementazione e la diffusione degli impianti di biogas in Bangladesh e (ii) per individuare le condizioni ottimali per la produzione massima di biogas e biometano. I risultati dell’indagine hanno rivelato che l’industria avicola e lattiero-casearia è un settore in crescita e promettente e che i rifiuti totali dell’industria avicola e lattiero-casearia hanno un potenziale teorico di biogas pari a 39 TJ all’anno, che può risolvere gran parte del deficit energetico. L’uso intelligente dei rifiuti dell’industria avicola e lattiero-casearia (produzione di biogas e/o generazione di elettricità con fertilizzanti organici attraverso la digestione anaerobica) può essere una soluzione energetica sostenibile per il Bangladesh.
