Now days, we humans are facing huge natural disasters such as floods, drought, flash flood, storms, cloud burst, hurricane, cyclone, snowfall, fringing temperature etc over worldwide. This intensity and frequency have been increasing years to years and Scientist suggested that global climate change is responsible for these disasters. Earth has shown many ice and warm age with very high atmospheric Carbon dioxide concentration. There is evidence that it has affected the Earth throughout geological time. This book approached the topic by explaining about basics of Climate, Climate change & its impact on our ecosystem/earth, past climate changes and how to measure it, factors influencing the climate change and its future trends, effect of climate change on hydro meteorological disaster in Western Himalaya with factors affecting the intensity of hydro meteorological disaster and mitigation measures to be taken for minimize its impact. This is a small but important step in building capacity and awareness in the academic community and the public at large, about the critical need to mainstream gender in climate change and hydro meteorological disaster.
